The “For Baby & Me” area features a peek-a-boo barn, baby gym, and miniature school bus. Toddlers can spend their time at “A Little Bit of Magic,” a fun exhibit that includes a textured tunnel to crawl through, a sandbox for digging, and a mirror maze. This exhibit transports kids back to the time of dinosaurs and encourages basic scientific learning.

One of the most popular, Big Truck Day, will blow the minds of your young vehicle lovers. Generally held in the fall, it’s a ticketed event that brings cranes, fire trucks, bucket lifts, sleeper cab trucks, and more up close for examination and exploration. Located in a renovated Victorian mansion, the museum invites kids to role play, conduct experiments, and get physical on the hopscotch courts in the outdoor play garden. In 2008, a 25,000 square foot expansion with even more exhibits opened. The Magic House welcomes 400,000 visitors a year, making it one of the nation's most popular children’s museums. Family Plus ($250) is a great option for parents and kids from a single household who want to get into both museums. The Magic House engages all children in hands-on learning experiences that spark imagination, pique curiosity, enhance creativity and develop problem-solving skills within a place of beauty, wonder, joy and magic. In 2019, to further extend the reach of The Magic House in the community, we opened MADE for Kids, a new satellite location created for children ages 4-14 on the north side of Delmar Boulevard in the City of St. Louis.
In 2005, Zagat’s "U.S. Family Travel Guide" called The Magic House museum in St. Louis the country's best attraction for children. Yep, even Disney’s Magic Kingdom took a backseat to The Magic House. From pizzas to piazzas, Ciao Bambini (hello children!) transports families to the beautiful country of Italy.
Again in 2008, The Magic House underwent a major expansion as it added a 25,000-square-foot addition nearly doubling the size of the Museum.[5] In 2005, "A Little Bit of Magic" was transformed into the hands on STEM exhibit, WonderWorks. Residents of St. Louis County, City of St. Louis, Jefferson County, Franklin County, St. Charles County, Warren County and Lincoln County can enjoy $3 admission per person from 3 p.m. To receive the discount, guests need to provide proof of residency.

This included a large wrap-around porch, an expanded lobby and an elevator that allowed the Museum to be accessible to all visitors.
